Here's To First Meetings
Thanks to those that showed up for our group's fledgling meeting. We were only 4 strong, but the conversation was riveting. Phil, Allen, and myself were joined by Katie Rutherford from Nightfalls Tours. As always, Katie had a lot of interesting things to say. She shared the story of the Tyler Street house (http://www.nightfalltours.com/Tyler.htm) and many other extremely fascinating experiences she has had. Phil and Allen were two very engaging individuals, the conversation flowed easily.
Subjects of our conversation ranged from the nature of ghosts to the haunted places in the valley. Places we talked about were: Wolf Manor, the previously mentioned Tyler Street house, the Vendo facility, local theaters, the Shields and First Target (formerly Gemco), St. John's Hall, and more.We agreed that we would gather again and take Katie's Tour through the Tower.
. Another idea that was broached was to do an investigation of Sanger's "Snake Road" or Channel Road as it is more precisely called. Many stories have been forwarded throughout the years about strange goings ons connected with that stretch of road; a wailing entity that travels the road looking for her lost children, voices coming from the grove of trees that line the road, it has even been said that passers by have been the target of rocks being thrown at them from the darkness of the groves. A bike ride through Snake Road has been suggested, our goal is to document any activity.
We will be getting together very soon to flesh out more things we would like to do with our group (like maybe give it a name). If any of this appeals to you, as a reader of this blog, please feel free to contact me and maybe we can get you to our next meeting. Til then, keep dreaming during the day what most dream at night.
